Thomas Nelson Community College provides Leadership and Management Training that enhances Career Growth

Mission & Vision

The Peninsula Construction Academy will strengthen the technical, leadership, supervisory and manage-ment skills of the human resources that have chosen a career in the construction industry.  The program has been created through a business and education partnership program to increase the competitiveness of the area's construction industry by promoting the industry among emerging and existing workforce while enhancing the recruitment, development and retention initiatives of a growing industry.

Career Exploration

The construction industry is one of the Peninsula's main economic engines and is expected to experience above average demand for human resource recruitment and development for the foreseeable future.  The demand for both new construction education, housing, retail and infrastructure improvement is placing increased pressure on area construction companies to augment their existing workforces. The opportunities for a long-term career in construction and construction management are bright.  If you are investigating entry-level or management opportunities in this industry, you may find the following links beneficial.
