Employers & Entrepreneurs

The Council works to build close relationships with Greater Peninsula employers. Our Employer Services are far reaching and designed to help you create and maintain competitive advantage by filling human resource needs, participating in the development of employment skill sets for future employees, or requesting customized training programs for your company. Many area companies point to tremendous gains made through their relationship with the Peninsula Council for Workforce Development.  If you are interested in enhancing your company's competitiveness,  please join and participate in our programs and activities.  As a corportate supporter, you will be shaping the competitiveness of the Penisula workforce and helping yourself at the same time.

The Council is a strong proponent of work-focused training.  We encourage businesses to establish internships, apprenticeships and job shadowing opportunities for area youth.  We also encourage business leaders to serve as mentors and speakers for emerging workers interested in your occupation or industry.  If you are interested in volunteering personal time or donating equipment and materials to enhance the learning experience, we invite you to complete our Employers Volunteer Assessment as an important first step. Read on to see how to volunteer to provide specific assistance or donate specific equipment.
