Did you know that the Youth Career Cafe (YCC) is led by young people just like you? The look and feel of our Youth Career Cafe and Career Cafe Online were developed based on input from youth who stepped forward to make the Career Cafe concept appealing to students and young adults. The YCC is always looking for enthusiastic leaders to continue the Workforce Improvement Board’s efforts to build the best career development resource programs.
What Can I Do? As a Board Member, you will recommend new resources to be made available in our Youth Career Cafe and the Career Cafe Online. You could also be called upon to serve as a focus group member as the Youth Career Cafe develops marketing and implementation plans for new services and resources.
Lend A Voice! The Avatars on the pages of our site help job seekers and employers find and supply information in their search for careers and employees. Each of our models gets their voice from volunteers like you.
Lend a Helping Hand? Most important of all, you may be called on to advise or tutor other students who need academic assistance or who can benefit from your leadership experience.
How Do I Benefit? Besides the self satisfaction that comes with accomplishment, you’ll learn how team members work toward a vision. In the end, you will also have a great community service record that will certainly catch the attention of college admissions boards and corporate recruiters.
